01 Information we collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Your password is stored securely and is never accessible in plain text.

Device Information

When you register an e-ink display device, we collect the device MAC address, model, and connectivity data (battery level, WiFi signal strength, online status). This data is used to manage your devices and display content.

Location Data

If you grant location permission, we collect your device's location to auto-detect your timezone and to configure location-based dashboard templates (e.g., weather). Location data is only accessed when you explicitly configure a location variable or register a device. We do not track your location in the background.

Bluetooth Data

We use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to discover and provision compatible e-ink devices nearby. Bluetooth scanning data is processed locally on your phone and is not transmitted to our servers, except for the device MAC address during registration.

Dashboard Data

When you create and configure dashboards, the template selections and variable configurations you choose are stored on our servers to render and deliver content to your devices.

Biometric Data

If you enable biometric login, authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We do not collect, store, or transmit any biometric data such as fingerprints or facial recognition data.

02 How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the INKGLANCE service
• Render and deliver dashboard content to your e-ink devices
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account
• Communicate with your registered devices

03 Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers operated by Solidist LLC. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and token-based authentication to protect your account. Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-provided secure storage.

04 Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• When required by law or legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Solidist LLC or our users

05 Data retention

Your account data and device configurations are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

06 Your choices

• You can deny location and Bluetooth permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features may not work without these permissions.
• You can enable or disable biometric authentication in the app settings.
• You can delete individual dashboards and devices from within the app.
• You can request full account deletion by contacting us.

07 Children's privacy

INKGLANCE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

08 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by other means.
